Dashboard Confessional is an American Acoustic/Electric guitar driven emo rock outfit led by singer-songwriter and guitar player Chris Carrabba from Boca Raton, Florida. A todays lineup includes Carrabba (guitar, vocals), Scott Shoenbeck (bass guitar), John Lefler (guitar), and Mike Marsh (drums). Carrabba's number 1 venture sustaining Further Seems Forever wwhen nowhere near when successful as a Dashboard Confessional plan. It became further popular by appearing in soundtracks like Shrek 2 and Spiderman 2. Dashboard Confessional was began within 2001. A title Dashboard Confessional is from either one of Chris' songs, A Sharp Hint of Future Tears. A line "On the way home, this car hears my confessions" gave Chris a idea. Contrary to popular belief, Dashboard Confessional refers merely to Chris Carrabba as he originally intended it to become the solo design. He addressed this misunderstanding expression, "What rulebook says it has to be called your name if you're one guy?" Inside Could of 2005, Dashboard Confessional entered the studio to record their third album by having Daniel Lanois, half of the famed U2 production team.
